"I had the honor of working with Greg on my recording of India Arie's "Brown Skin" for Shades’ Sankofa album. I loved the experience of working with Greg. He took a polished vocal that I created for "Brown Skin" and showed me how to push my voice and range further to deliver an absolutely stellar vocal. Greg allowed me to play with my vocal ability in the studio and gave me visualizations to apply to my voice during our recording session. With Greg's outstanding prowess as a vocal coach and musical director, he helped me create a recording that surpassed anything I could have done without him. "Brown Skin" was nominated the following year for "Best Mixed Collegiate Solo" by the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Academy. “I called Greg very late on a Monday evening in desperate need of some vocal coaching in preparation for an upcoming audition that Wednesday. Greg was graciously available to help me that same evening, and the coaching was amazing. Given that I am a dancer, I was very impressed that Greg was able to translate many of his corrections to physical actions I could do, speaking in the physical language with which I am familiar, and I was able to immediately understand all his corrections.
